Celebrating her banner year so far, Serena Williams showed up at the Ed Sullivan Theatre for an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” yesterday (August 22).
The tennis great wore a slim-fitting red dress with black and white stilettos to show off both her muscles as well as her feminine form as she greeted fans outside.
During her interview, Serena gushed, “Things are great. I feel good. Obviously coming off the Olympics was really great. Go USA- I was really excited about that. It’s been such an amazing experience.”
Williams also explained her ‘Golden Slam’ status to Dave and his audience- “If you’ve won all the Grand Slam titles and then you win Olympic Gold then you’ve won pretty much everything and you have what they call a ‘Golden Slam.’ And so I’ve never won Olympic Gold in singles before, so that’s what I was going for.”
